Lord Muthathi Raya-Anjaneya

Muthathi is situated in Malavalli Taluk, Mandya district on the banks of river Cauvery / Kaveri in Karnataka is famous for Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple.

From Bangalore take towards Kanakapura road via Harohalli reach Kanakapura which is 58 kms and from kanakapura to sathanur is 18 kms again from sathanur to Muthathi is 20 kms and on the whole Muthathi is 96 kms from Bangalore.

Legend informs & dates us in Tretha yuga, Lord Anjaneya fished out the pearl that fell of Seeta’s nose ring into river Cauvery. Then onwards Anjaneya was called -- Muttatha Raya.

The road to Muthathi runs along the river, and you can stop at different places to spend time on the river bank or take Bath / dip your feet in shallow waters.

 There are Lots of Monkeys in and around the temple and  can see them playing . If you can Carry some Bananas which monkeys like the most it will be Nice and enjoyable to watch its playing and jumping
